Behavioral Problems

When a child has behavior problems it can affect the entire family. Parents are now faced with missing days of work, siblings feel unsafe at home and the affected child's self esteem and confidence begins to diminish. There are various reasons why children develop behavioral problems. They may be having problems at school, learning disabilities, depression, anxiety, autism or attention problems.

Our first intervention, is to assist parents in managing these problems at home. By establishing a behavioral contract, children are encouraged to regulate their own behavior. Once a psychological assessment is done, we typically use a Play Therapy model or EEG Neurofeedback to help manage these problems during weekly sessions.

Magnolia Counseling provides a variety of options for selecting a therapy method that is best suited to your needs. You do not have to do it alone. To reserve a face-to-face therapy session with one of our helpful therapist, please contact us at (818) 757-7600.
